This leaves Axl with: a pissed off Gaia a missing Zeb the police wanting to arrest him and no idea where all of this came from.It is Anders who figures things out: if Axl is inside for stealing a big bag of cocaine, then that rather takes him out of play for the search for the Frigg.Clearly it is their rivals, the Goddesses, playing dirty in the war they have got going.While Anders relishes this challenge, Axl is really not thrilled at the thought of prison.
And so Zeb disappears, leaving Axl alone, to face the wrath of Bryn – who, it turns out, really, really doesn’t like Axl.Firmly planting himself in the midst of the Gaia/Bryn leaving issue, Axl’s attempts to keep Gaia in the flat do not help matters or glean Gaia’s appreciation.And then matters become distinctly worse when many cops raid the flat, looking for the drugs Axl allegedly stole from the hospital.Of course they do not find them, because Zeb has them, but they do find a quantity of marijuana in Bryn’s bag so they arrest him instead. However, after waiting for hours in the appointed room, with no-one showing, he bails on this in favour of takeaways with Zeb.It ishere, in the drive-through, as they search for change in Axl’s car, that the boys discover a very large bag of cocaine under one of the seats.Axl has no idea how it got there, although suspicion falls on Anders, but Zeb has things well in hand – and he takes off the with the drugs and a plan to solve all their financial problems. The day does not start well for Axl when he learns that the imminent visit to their flat of Gaia’s father, Bryn, is to hold Gaia to her promise to return to WaihekeIsland when she finished her nursing training.The thought of Gaia leaving his world hits Axl hard.īut Axl also has other things on his mind, as he must front up to the hospital for a check-up on his arrow-wound. And this is a lesson Axl Johnson is about to learn. When something seems too good to be true, this is inevitably because it is too good to be true.
